Itinerary
Day-1 Leh pick-up and local sightseeing

Today morning pick up from airport and drive towards hotel at Leh and after fresh up day for leisure local sightseeing of Leh visit one of the most beautiful city situated at an altitude of 3500 M ASL famous for highest high altitude airport an ethnic / Ancient and colorful city. Monasteries, fort and palaces, gateway to Silk route, Hub for Buddhist culture for red sect and yellow sect. lush green valley around river Indus and agricultural fields and business hub for this region. Much more to explore in and around Leh.

Night-1

Overnight stay at hotel.

Day-2 Local Leh sightseeing

In Leh ( City tour )-After breakfast explore the best of the town.Visit Shanti Stupa/Shankar Gompa/Leh palace/Namgyal Gompa and hall of fame. Post lunch explore Shey and Thikse monasteries. Shey Palace & Monastery-This summer palace of the erstwhile King of Leh is set upon a hill.The monastery itself has a 7.5m high copper statue of a sitting Buddha wrought in gold.This is the largest of its kind in the world. Thiksey Monastery-19km from Leh Thiksey is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas of Ladakh.The Thiksey monastery provides a panoramic view of the green Indus Valley from its vantage point atop a hill.It has chambers full of statues,stupas and colorful Tankhas.

After dinner stay at hotel.

Day-3 Leh-Excursion to Sham valley-Leh

After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh Kargil Highway and start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas.A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity & further driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the confluence Of The Indus And Zanskar River.After visiting above places we drive back to Leh enroute visiting Spituk Monastery built in 15th century during the reign of Grags bum-lde.These new Gelug-pa monastery was built like fortress on the summit of crags.

Night-3

Evening at leisure and overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day-4 Leh-Pangong Lake (4hrs one way 150km approx)

Early morning after breakfast leave for Pangong Lake(14500ft)Pangong Lake also known as Pangong Tso is a beautiful endorheic lake situated in the Himalayas and is 134 km long, extending from India to China. Pangong Lake is situated at a height of 4350m and is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the country.The beauty and allure of this lake has attracted people from all over the country and beyond.The lake is said to be in the process of being identified as a wetland with international significance under the Ramsar Convention and if everything goes as expected then the Pangong Lake will be the first in South Asia to be a trans-boundary wetland and that too under this convention. The one factor that makes this Lake so popular is the fact that it keeps changing colors.Situated in the Himalayan range it is approximately 140km from Leh in Jammu and Kashmir.The name of the lake Pangong was got from a Tibetan word Banggong Co that means a narrow and enchanted lake.Now you know that the lake has got its name rightfully.You will know this when you visit the beautiful lake of Pangong.You are sure to be enchanted by the charm.Because the lake is a long stretch one third area of the lake lies within our country and the other two third portion lies with Tibet and is controlled by China.Through Changla Pass 17350ft(third highest motorable road in the world)arrive at this beautiful lake and spend the afternoon here.

Night-4

Full day at pangong dinner and overnight stay at camps.

Day-5 Pangong Lake-Leh

Today morning after breakfest drive back to leh from Pangong Lake on way cover all the sightseeing.

Reached at Leh after full day sightseeing dinner and overnight stay at hotel at Leh.

Day-6 Nubra valley

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley,driving across Khardong-la (alt:18380ft).After descending from the pass,drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area.Nubra Valley is one of the must visit places in Ladakh especially if you are visiting for the first time.Nubra Valley is among the sub districts in Ladakh located in North East side having Diskit Village as the its main headquarters.Diskit is situated about 120km from Leh town which is the main capital of Ladakh district.The Shyok river a tributary of Indus river meets the Nubra or Siachen river to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and Karakorum Ranges.

Night-6

Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for overnight stay in a camp.

Day-7 Nubra valley-Khardungla-Leh

In the morning visit / explore Deskit,Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double humped Bactrian camel found here(optional on direct payment).On the way sightseeing of Khardungla.The major attraction of a trip to Nubra Valley is going over the so called or hyped highest motorable road Khardung La Pass being at lower altitude than Leh at an average altitude of 10000 Feet or 3048m.Nubra Valley is an ideal place to fit into the acclimatization schedule of your Ladakh trip once you reach Leh.

Night-7

Later drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon/evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day-8 Leh airport drop

Today morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive towards Leh Airport. Drop at airport at 6:00 am. Here tour ends.
